Embedded filters

Embedded filters make it easy for users to see the filter values you want them to use. Placing an embedded filter next to a dashlet that it affects, helps to provide context.

Embedded filters exist in their own dashlets.

Examples:

Single-choice Currency selection radio button list:

Multi-choice check box list:

How to create an embedded filter

  1. In Edit mode, click Insert > Embedded Filter.

A new dashlet prompts you to select a filter.

  2. Click Select Filter. You can either search from a list or another file, or drag and drop a filter from the filter drawer onto the dashboard.

  3. Click the filter icon to disable the filter for any dashlet for which it does not apply.

  4. Position and resize the filter dashlet as needed.

Tip: To save space on the dashboard, resize a long radio button or check box list until it automatically becomes a drop-down or a multi-column list.
